As caterers in the beautiful Hudson Valley of New York, we are blessed to be able to create fabulous celebrations for everyone who chooses to get married here. There are a multitude of different venues from rustic barns with old world charm to mansions with sweeping views of the Hudson River or the Catskill Mountains. This past weekend, we were honored to cater Aimee and Matt's wedding at The Belltower, in Rosendale. This lovely venue is a renovated 1896 Dutch Reformed Church, located in the heart of the town on Main Street and owned and loving cared for by Petra Heist and Louis Sclafani.

What a grand fete Aimee and Matt created for their families and friends - they started in the park behind the venue with appetizers and refreshments (thankfully the weather turned cheerful by mid-afternoon) then came indoors for a grand Bistro BBQ featuring pulled pork sliders, St. Louis style ribs, slow cooked beef brisket, Southern-style greens with corn and black-eyed peas, quinoa tabouli, old-fashioned potato salad, Caesar salad, apple-radish slaw and corn bread!!

While everyone feasted, they were highly entertained by an amazing line up of performances by friends and family members! The party favors featured on the tables were antique noise makers - so after each performance, the crowd applauded and waived their "whatchamajigs" in the air - saluting each act, before moving on to the next one! The final act of the talent show was Aimee and Matt's wedding ceremony which was very moving.

After everyone toasted the newlyweds with a glass of champagne, the tables were pushed back and the dancing ensued!!! A glorious time was had by all!

And Aimee was radiant!

And her gown was spectacular!!!

Big kudos to Petra and Louis for creating such a special place for celebrations of life and love!
