Testimonials

May 2005
Dear Mary Anne and Richard,

I want to take this opportunity to extend my gratitude to you for hosting the wonderful champagne brunch at your lovely Blue Mountain Bistro and for your generous in-kind contribution to my reelection campaign. You should know I received many compliments on your behalf about how delicious the food is and what a great place it is to hold an event. I hearily agree and I am sure your catering venture will prove to be highly successful.

Best Regards,
Congressman Maurice Hinchey
U.S. House of Representatives

"One of the great joys in life is family and friends gathered around an inviting table of good food.  And when that meal has been masterfully prepared by chef Richard Erickson and his staff, it becomes great food.

For almost ten years, Barbara and I spent many an evening dining and schmoozing with family, friends, and staff at the Blue Mountain Bistro.  Among the highlights of our experiences were several catered family gatherings, including a "big" birthday for one of us.  But all our evenings at the Bistro, from the instant we would swing through the door to be greeted with a smile and a hug by Mary Anne to the moment we dined on Richard's delicously elegant versions of Mediterranean cuisine, will remain forever unforgettable.

We miss it all now that they've changed course and are preparing for their new catering venture.  (We're simply going to have to do more big Bistro parties.)  And we have no doubt that the essense of Richard and Mary Anne's approach to their new endeavor will continue to include an ingredient you can't put gravy on--a lot of love and care.

We wish them all the best in their coming journey.  'Cause what's good for them will ultimately be good for us!"

Dear Mary Anne and Richard,
Walter and I were so pleased at the attention to details that you and Richard provided to our requests for our daughter's wedding reception. Your support and sugesstions were extremely helpful.  Many of our guests were from California and Arizona who were only visiting the area for the weekend.  With savory delights and delectable eats, 'The Bistro' provided our guests with gracious hospitality and attended politely to everyone's needs.

Your dedication to ensure the happiness of our daughter's wishes for this special occasion was amazing.  You demonstrated patience and a real understanding of how to fulfill our wishes and with excellent results. Your sophisticated style and warm charm toward our family was so reassuring.

With our deepest appreciation,
Carole and Walter Brighton

Mary Anne and Richard,

I actually don't believe our celebration could possibly have been any more successful and we owe a great deal of it to you.

From the way you made us feel as if everything was under control to your presence and that of your staff-- all of whom were unfailingly pleasant and kind --to the incredibly beautiful arrangments, you made everything possible.

And oh yes...the food. More than one person claimed that it was one of the best meals they'd ever had and marvelled at your ability to not only create that but to do so and transport it to a remote location. We've been feasting on the leftovers.

Please, if you ever need recommendations or testimonials from clients, think of us...it will only make us happily revisit (if only mentally) our memorable day.

Best wishes,
Kate and Kevin

Mary Anne and Richard,

First, thanks so much for making Karen's party flow so smoothly...you hit every moment, and the menu was superb, from appetizers to after dinner drinks. Everyone working with you was so bright and helpful, and this after having already run an event earlier inthe day - we felt like your only concern. And you made it feel so effortless...I guess it was your own brand of sleight of hand!
